Introduction: The specially designed spiral pipe mill makes large diameter but small wall thickness spiral welded pipes. Internal support added to avoid pipe deformation from its own weight. HUAYE has installed and commissioned a large diameter thin wall spiral pipe mill in Hengshui, China. The mill makes up to 3200mm in diameter but the wall thickness only ranges from 5mm to 12mm.
During commissioning, the mill successfully produced spiral pipes of Φ2500×6mm, which is an extreme size for normal spiral pipe mills, because of the deformation the pipes suffer from its own weight. With modification and upgrade to the forming machine and output gate, HUAYE successfully upgraded a traditional spiral pipe mill to a highly customized machine. Machine parts in the working line
