Introduciton A pipe end facing and beveling machine is equipment used in pipe post process. End facing refers to the process to machine the pipe end flat and beveling refers to the process to machine the pipe end at a beveled shape for further joint process. Length control is another important function of the end facing and beveling process. The proposed machine is capable of machining ends of pipes with outside diameter ranging from Φ700 to Φ2400mm. and wall thickness ranging from 6 to 20mm.. Process flow Pipe on - receiving - clamping - end beveling - loosening - finished pipe High Quality beveling machine Main components
PIPE CLAMPS Two pipe clamps, top and bottom, are made of machined steel in sections. The top clamp is fixed while the bottom clamp can be vertically adjusted by means of hydraulically driven cylinders to fix the pipe in position. Bolt-on Inserts are fixed onto the clamps. Different bolt-on inserts are needed for each diameter of pipe. SPINDLE AND CUTTING ASSEMBLY The spindle is made of forged steel. A faceplate holding the cutter assembly with cutter heads is mounted onto the spindle by a flanged connection. The complete assembly is mounted on a large anti-friction tapered-roll bearing, which is sealed and lubricated by a gear pump.
